How to Clean Pointe Shoes
|
|
Dear Dancehelp,
I have a question about my pointe shoes. They are dirty and I have tried several ways to get the dirt off, but I can't. How can I clean them or with what? Thank you.
Thanks,
Mariana

Dear Mariana,
This is a common problem that dancers have. Pointe shoes have become quite expensive for the dancer, so we try all we can to keep them in top shape. My suggestion for cleaning them is to get a cotton ball and rub Calamine Lotion on them. They won't be the same color of satin pink, but they will be more presentable. It cleans and re-colors them at the same time! I hope this helps.
Thanks and happy dancing,
Dancehelp
