Dance Poem of the week: An Ode to the Stage Mom
|
|
I love to dance and dance I do I like it when people clap for me too.
Sometimes I shiver a little with fright As I go on stage to perform But wearing the kiss that she placed on my cheek I'm able to dance in top form.
I work very hard and have lots of fun With all my dance family But because of a special one If she's not fixing our shoes with a stitch here and there Then she's checking our makeup and adjusting our hair.

Kids come from all over some uncertain and scared Then she gives them her smile that say's ''I know your prepared''
She's thoughtful and helpful Her sweet smile I love As it's so kind and so loving Like it's sent down from above.
For our special moments What would you expect Our stage mom of course With a camera on her neck.
So whom do I praise here It's really no secret Except to the one That we owe this great debt.
Put all of the stage moms Line the stage all across And who would we pick? of course......DEBBIE DECOSSE
